Aveda Color Control shampoo and conditioner contain apricot and bio fermented actives. These ingrediencies Nourish, smooth, and seal the hair cuticle, helping lock in beautiful colour with radiant shine. Certified organic apricot seed oil is high in omega 6 and omega 9 fatty acids, which are known for their conditioning powers. This lightweight, nourishing oil helps keep hair soft, bouncy, and hydrated. Arginine, a bio fermented amino acid and an essential component of healthy hair, and lactic acid bio fermented from sugar beets seal and smooth the cuticle for incredible shine from roots to ends.
The Shampoo
Did you know? One of the biggest causes of colour fading is excessive washing. Aveda use naturally derived 'magnets' which neutralise colour-dulling particles and dual-charged molecules which create a light, protective shield to keep water from penetrating into the hair.
The Conditioner
Hair colour has a pH that is deliberately higher than hair. This causes the cuticle layer to open, allowing the colour product to penetrate the hair. Therefore, it’s critical to apply a conditioner after a hair colour service that will help reset the hair back to its optimum pH of 3.5–4.5. Color Control Conditioner has a pH of 3.5–5, which helps return damaged hair back to a normal, healthy condition and prevent colour wash-out.
